Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Business and Economic Growth (IJBEG) undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by peer review for manuscripts considered suitable for the journal's scope.

The peer-review process generally consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Submission : Authors submit manuscripts through the journal's designated submission system in accordance with the Author Guidelines.
  2. Editorial Screening : The editorial team assesses the manuscript for scope, originality, basic methodological and scholarly quality, ethical compliance, plagiarism and adherence to the journal's submission requirements.
  3. Peer Review : Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are sent to qualified independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The journal applies a double-anonymous peer-review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another.
  4. Editorial Decision : Based on the reviewers' evaluations, the editor may decide to accept the manuscript, request revisions, reject the manuscript or invite further review following revision.
  5. Revision and Re-evaluation : Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the editor.
  6. Final Decision and Publication : Manuscripts that successfully complete the review process and satisfy the journal's editorial and ethical requirements proceed to final editing and publication.

Peer-review decisions are based on the quality, originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance and significance of the manuscript rather than the authors' institutional affiliation, nationality, gender or other personal characteristics.
